Post 8 : Personal Opinions

I would like to talk about immigration too.
It is a very recurrent topic these days, since the government of Sebastian Piñera didn’t want to join the migratory pact of the ONU.

There is a lot of ignorance, I believe that the people and the government don’t understand that the pact is to ensure a "safe, orderly and regular migration", justly promotes the guarantee of the human rights of migrants together with respect for the sovereignty of States.
The Pact doesn’t declare that migrating is a human right, therefore, there can be no confusion there.
It has been alleged that the pact equals the rights of regular and irregular migrants. Here it is necessary to recognize that it really does, but it seems that it is hard for them to understand that irregular migrants are also people and therefore do not lose their human rights, or do they want to treat them like animals?.
The Pact ensures that their fundamental rights are fulfilled, giving them access to basic services but never more than a Chilean.

Sometimes we forget that we are all human beings that don’t choose where to be born, to think that we should have more privileges because we were born where there is more economic prosperity, is simply selfishness.
The realities are very hard in some countries, where to bring bread to the table is a daily sacrifice.
Everyone has the right to choose a better way, but that is also difficult,
especially if you are poor and dark skin, Chile is an extremely racist country. Adding problems like trafficking of Haitian people (for cheap labor)

  1. I agree with you and I think that the real reason to reject the pact were cause its a problem for the wealthy ones.
